OPPORTUNITIES FUND

OF - Opportunities Fund for Persons with Disabilities

Ontario Office Works Inc. provides self employment support services to individuals working through the Opportunities Fund. The objective of the Opportunities Fund is to assist persons with disabilities in preparing for, obtaining, and keeping employment. Self employment is a very important part of this objective.

Self employment (in fact any employment) has a positive effect. Taking control of one aspect of your life can lead to improvement in other areas. The Opportunities Fund can help people discover their potential. If that potential lies in the area of self employment Ontario Office Works Inc. is able to provide business support.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program the person must have a disability and not be eligible for any Employment Insurance funded employment program.

Self Employment Support

Ontario Office Works Inc. helps program participants to assess the viability of their business idea through business plan development, and determination of business goals and requirements.

Ontario Office Works Inc also provides ongoing business mentoring and support services during business start up and the crucial first year.

Financial Assistance

Participants will usually continue with their current income support while accessing activities through the Opportunities Fund. If the individual is not in receipt of an income, consideration will be given for an allowance and/or other incremental costs. The Opportunities Fund does not provide start up capital for business.

FONDS D’INTÉGRATION NIAGARA

FI – Fonds d’intégration pour les personnes handicapées

Ontario Office Works Inc. offre le service de soutien au travail indépendant aux personnes inscrites au Fonds d’intégration. L’objectif du Fonds d’intégration est d’appuyer les personnes handicapées à se préparer, obtenir et soutenir un emploi. Le travail indépendant est une partie importante de cet objectif.

Le travail indépendant (tout emploi d’ailleurs) déploie un effet positif. Prendre contrôle de sa vie peut améliorer d’autres situations. Le Fonds d’intégration aide aux gens à découvrir leur potentiel. Et si ce potentiel vise le travail indépendant, Ontario Office Works Inc. peut offrir le soutien en affaires.

É ligibilité

Pour être éligible à ce programme, la personne doit avoir un handicap et ne doit pas être éligible à des prestations de programme d’assurance-emploi.

Appui au travail indépendant

Ontario Office Works Inc. aide aux participants du programme à évaluer la viabilité de leur idée d’entreprise par le développement du plan d’affaires ainsi que par la détermination des objectifs d’affaires et de ses exigences.
Ontario Office Works Inc. offre aussi un mentorat continue et des services d’appui durant le démarrage de l’entreprise et durant la première année critique.

Aide financière

Les participants continuent habituellement leur appui financier qui est en vigueur tout en accédant aux activités du Fonds d’intégration Niagara. Si l’individu ne reçoit pas un salaire, une allocation et/ou autres frais supplémentaires peuvent être considérés. Le Fonds d’intégration ne fournit pas le capital pour le démarrage de l’entreprise.
